Its been over 1 year....

Since my last post. I figured an update was in order. I know that many of you are wondering what I am doing, when I am coming home and if I will ever REALLY grow up.

I came to Tahoe to visit my father and get in some quality ski time. It is now over 1 year later and I am still "visiting". I worked at a ski resort for a few months but afterwords I was getting too lazy in my early retirement so I took a job in Reno while I continued to work on some business ventures. I am again doing Industrial Engineering work and having a good time. What can I say...I am good at it. I have three ventures brewing that I hope can take hold. The most basic can be found at www.cardsfordogs.com, which should eventually tie into my other domain which is planned but yet developed ...leashedin.com or leashed-in.com whichever you prefer...I think you get the parallel.

Last spring I took a few classes at our local college and lo-and-behold they called me up a month ago to offer me an adjunct faculty position teaching this Spring term. I will be teaching Global Operations to seniors at Sierra Nevada College. I fear having to resist the advances from the better looking girls whom I am sure will be in my class. I must be very strong.

I've developed some reasonable social and personal networks but to be honest, this is the most empty part of my life out here. I have come accustomed to being surrounded by great people such as yourselves. Yes, that is a compliment for all of you still following this blog...I miss all of you. I miss young professionals. I miss people who don't smoke grass every day. I miss people who love college football. I miss people who inspire me. I miss people who are not afraid of my shenanigans and sense of humor.

I will be seeing this teaching thing through and then making new plans. Anybody want to start a business together? Want to move to some exotic location? Anybody want to go to China and see what happens?

Anyway, I am staying put for now, saving some cash, skiing as much as possible, teaching the next generation and drinking cheap beer in the most ritzy locations. If any of you are out this way, let me know. I would love visitors. Keep in touch, I'll be home soon.
